Do you want to contribute?

Trac has been discontinued and the Shared Source library and all of the modules and the source repositories have been moved to the new Marketplace - http://marketplace.sitecore.net.

Contributing to the marketplace

In the past, we have allowed anybody who had access to the Sitecore Developer Network to download shared source modules from the site.

Now you can take the code you have created for any of these shared source modules and make your changes available to other Sitecore developers.

If you have created a module that you wish to contribute, you should visit the Marketplace - http://marketplace.sitecore.net/ - and on the Contribute page, use the wizard to create a project space for your module.

On the project space there are various sections in the header that you can use to classify your module and point to the source repository. The source repository can be anywhere you choose it to be, for example, Codeplex or GitHub.

On the tabs in your project space, you can write a quick introduction to your module, documentation about how it works and should be set up.

When all the fields have been filled in and the module is ready to be unleashed on the world, click Publish on the ribbon at the top of the page. The module is sent for review by the moderator of the Marketplace. If everything looks good, it will appear on the Discover page shortly thereafter.

From Trac to Marketplace

Trac has been discontinued and the Shared Source library and all of the modules and the source repositories have been moved to the new Marketplace.

If you had any modules on Trac that were linked to from blogs, social media etc., we are going to set up a redirect to either the from t page of the Marketplace or a one to one mapping to the modules.

If you have any questions regarding the Marketplace or Trac please, feel free to send me a mail at jo@sitecore.net
